Harvey Nichols launches Hong Kong flagship

Harvey Nichols is the latest retailer to flock to Hong Kong. Next month, the British fashion department store will open the doors to its new 83,000-square-foot flagship in the Asian city, reported WWD. Kicking off with an inaugural event on Oct. 18, the store will offer an extensive variety of womenswear, menswear, accessories, jewelry and more.

The new location is backed by Nichols’ operator Dickson Concepts Int. Ltd., which has laid out more than $19 million to bring the project to fruition. Harvey Nichols will maintain its current store, located in Hong Kong’s central district, as a smaller outfit.

Other brands making their way into the Asian mecca are Valentino, which just launched its first men’s store; Kate Spade, which owns a flagship in the Pacific Place shopping center; and Neil Barrett, which unveiled a Zaha Hadid-designed shop.
