Heather Brown and TRU Protection team up to create iPhone cases that support ocean-focused charities

Back for a second collaboration with electronic accessories brand TRU Protection, Heather Brown has launched another collection of bright iPhone cases. The new series of cases launched on April 1 not only features designs inspired by her love for the sea, but also donates proceeds to ocean-focused charities that are a reflection of the two brands.

As an ambassador for Foam Magazine and “Artist of the Search” for Rip Curl, Brown is proud to represent women surfers and artists and has gained a worldwide reputation for spreading her aloha spirit. She has brought her passion for surfing and the beauty of North Shore Oahu together in her vibrant designs for the Heather Brown Collection. Displaying her unique style of surf art, these cases will bring a smile to any face.

Established in 2007 by females and minorities, TRU Protection’s mission is to supply the best accessories while maintaining a socially conscious approach to business. For the collaboration with the Heather Brown Collection, the electronic accessories brand will donate 15% of the proceeds from each case to benefit three amazing charities: Kokua Hawaii Foundation, Sea-thos Foundation and Wyland Foundation.

The Kokua Hawaii Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaii. The Foundation's mission is to provide students with exciting and interactive experiences that will enhance their appreciation for and understanding of their environment so that they will be lifelong stewards of the earth.

While the Kokua Hawaii Foundation participates in a variety of environmental education initiatives in Hawaii, its main school programs are 3R's School Recycling, Environmental Field Trip Assistance, Kokua Earth Action Projects and 'AINA In Schools. The Foundation recently introduced the Plastic Free Schools program as part of the Plastic Free Hawaii Coalition to reduce single-use plastic in our islands.

Started in 2011 by Michael Schwab, Chris Jensen and Nick Behunin, Sea-thos’s mission is to promote education and awareness of human impact on the world’s oceans. The organization is a movement of individuals with a love for the ocean and a passion for developing answers to the challenges facing it now and in the future. Dedicated to using innovative science combined with forward-thinking education tools and awareness campaigns, Sea-thos brings together activists, individuals, entrepreneurs, investors and other companies to change the course of Earth’s most valuable resource.

Founded by renowned environmental artist Wyland, the Wyland Foundation has helped children and families around the nation to rediscover the importance of healthy oceans and waterways through public art programs, classroom science education and live events. The foundation gives children the tools they need to become more creative, positive and solution-oriented. The foundation is a non-profit organization and has worked directly with more than one million children since its inception in 1993.
