As we bid adieu to 2012, we reflect on a successful year at LadyLUX in cutting through the clutter and serving up the essentials for our readers and friends. From interviews and events, fashion finds and lux exclusives, we share highlights from an editorial packed year.

Events

Whether we’re meeting designers, celebrating store openings or supporting charities, we love to be out and about! This year we celebrated the launch of Coach and Tony Duquette at a Beverly Hills party with our dear friend Hutton Wilkinson. At an exclusive NYC dinner, we got a sneak peek at the De Beers Imaginary Nature Collection. Fashion’s Night Out took us to Neiman Marcus at Fashion Island for multiple runway shows and fashionable festivities. A 2012 standout was attending Oceana’s fifth annual SeaChange Summer Party at a coastal villa in Laguna Beach.

LUX Exclusives

Featuring original interviews and profiles, we got up close and personal with some amazing tastemakers this year. Kristi Yamaguchi and LUV AJ share inspiration behind the launches of their new collections while BCBGMAXAZRIA icon Lubov Azria and Ella Moss creative director, Pamella Protzel, talk holiday fashion. We were also able to sit down with Santiago Gonzalez after presenting the latest handbag collection from mother, Nancy Gonzalez.

Fashion

From the runway to the streets, we can’t get enough fashion! We searched high and low to bring you featured runway trends including baroque, prints, floral and snakeskin. Must-have handbags and footwear are always reader favorites. Often questioning what to wear? With tips, tricks and trends, we covered all things beauty in 2012. Showcasing runway beauty trends kept us in the forefront of beauty happenings. And who doesn’t love brands that give back? Products benefitting breast cancer are always a favorite.

Travel

We had the travel bug this year and were thrilled to share some of our amazing finds with you. Health

Health and wellness continues to be an important topic of conversation at LadyLUX and 2012 was no exception. We brushed up on nutrition featuring the best foods for healthy skin and hair and stayed motivated with tips from fitness experts Jackie Warner and Christina Sinclair. Special features showcasing cancer fighting recipes and top apps for fitness and healthy living rounded out the year.

Causes

Features on charities, causes and do-gooders this year continued to reflect our motto: “Good for the sake of good.” We put the spotlight on some of our favorite organizations of 2012, including Soles4Souls, 3Strands and newcomer, Omaze. Green

At LadyLUX we continually strive to support the green movement and share our revelations with our community. Eco friendly cleaning products, all natural DIY skincare and top green luxury hotels show how simple going green can be!
