LUX Look: Lucite

The recession not only made the government meet a new level of transparency, but now the trend has translated from the White House to retail, with department stores showcasing a “clear” trend in the fashion market.

Aqua’s Crystal 3 Drop earrings and Tri-tone bracelet, both at only $35, are a reasonable way to rock the LUX look. The earrings can easily be dressed up and pass for a few bucks more and the cuff is a perfect all-day piece, adding some edge with copper, gold and silver chain links, mixed in among the lucite drops.

Two trends in one, Lydell NYC’s Antiqued Gold Chain Necklace ($78) combines vintage metal links and crystal chains with giant lucite beads for a great mix of hard with soft.

Can you see the time? Get a crystal clear clock with the MICHAEL by Michael Kors Lucite Bracelet Watch ($225). With mother of pearl and CZ markers, this is clearly a LUX buy.

Everyone saw the messy hair on the runway. Now the ‘do has gone from the stage to the stores with the Gemma Redux’s Lucite and Chain Messy Bracelet ($318), an unkempt yet chic take on this season’s newest trend. Cut to look like rough mineral stones, the clear lucite crystals peek out from between the chains to give the edgy accessory a polished look.
