Madonna’s Malawi Love- Another Adoption and a Documentary!!
It is official, there is to be an addition to the kingdom as Madonna is on par to adopt another child from Malawi. Mercy James, a beautiful little three year old girl from the Mchinji Home of Hope orphanage, is set to join the family as Madonna is heading over this weekend to finalize the papers. This will be child number four for the royal court, and the second from Africa. Madonna expressed interest in adopting again after it was recommended David, her adopted son as of 2006, have a Malawian brother or sister.
This announcement coincides with the youtube and hulu premiere of Madonna’s “I Am Because We Are,” an exploration into Malawi, the second poorest country in the world. Madonna wrote and produced the documentary after seven years of working with the country and its harsh realities of homeless children and the AIDS epidemic. The film accurately depicts the current situation and also provides hope offering up ways we can be a change agent and make the world a better place for everyone.
There is just no stopping her Madgesty! She is such a powerful woman with her hands in many pots—music, touring, fashion, film, philanthropy (just to name a few)—and she still makes family a priority! What a beautiful spirit providing another homeless child with a loving family and a healthy environment in which to live. Madonna is an inspiration on numerous level. Her Madgesty is a force to be reckoned with, but like you didnt already know that!:)
