Oceana is at it again, this time with an inaugural Oceana Ball, to be held April 8. The largest global organization purely devoted to protecting our planet’s oceans, Oceana will also play host to a companion auction with endless once-in-a-lifetime packages from its sponsors, particularly from JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts. From a personalized voicemail greeting from Hugh Jackman to meeting Ted Danson on the set of CSI to glam getaways to Costa Rice and Thailand from JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts and artwork from famous artists, these luxe options span the categories of travel, art, entertainment and more. Overseen by luxury charity auction website Charitybuzz, the currently open online auction closes on April 17. Proceeds will be directed toward Oceana’s efforts to protect and restore shark populations, specifically shark finning bans and lowering shark bycatch.

Held at New York City’s Rockefeller Center, the event will feature entertainment, gastronomical delights, live musical performances, music from a premier DJ, and a live fantasy auction hosted by Christie’s. The fantasy auction items will include luxury travel packages from event sponsor JW Marriott and an unforgettable evening with Susan and David Rockefeller and President Clinton at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
