Pink Ribbon Magazine Creative Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness

Creative marketing campaigns that express a powerful message and leave lasting impressions are definitely rare gems! So when we heard of the new breast cancer awareness advertising approach with the tagline, ‘Girls should never be parted,’ we just had to share! This breast cancer awareness campaign insinuates that breasts are ‘best friends’ and should always stay together. Each image, shown above, captures a pair of bare breasts and includes a poem written just for them.

“Everybody knows breast cancer is dangerous, that it should be taken seriously, that therapy and research need funding. Breast cancer, and the battle against it, is something that unites all women, no matter where they are from, how rich or poor or what culture. Not only are all women potential victims, also almost all women know somebody that has had breast cancer or is currently dealing with it. In that sense, buying Pink Ribbon Magazine is a sign of solidarity.”—Seyoan Vela, Executive Creative Director of Pink Ribbon Magazine, NL.

Pink Ribbon Magazine NL is published by Sanoma Publishers and is a charity magazine in which all profits are donated directly to the Pink Ribbon Foundation of Netherlands.

The geniuses behind the campaign are Pieter van den Heuvel, Ecco Vos, Colin Lamberton and Seyoan Vela. British photographer Rankin was responsible for the powerful images.

LUXies, please share with us your thoughts of these powerful images and elegant words used to describe our breasts. Remember to take care of your ‘best friends’ and keep them healthy!
