Thecorner.com sets its ‘sites’ on China

Online boutique The Corner is headed for the fashion scene in China. Starting the end of September, thecorner.com.cn will offer a range of items from high-end and upcoming brands, making it one of the first multibrand e-commerce websites to supply the latest international labels to the Chinese market, reported FashionUnited.

The sales will highlight fashion houses including Dolce e Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen and Z Zegna, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann and Alexander Wang. These brands will be displayed in “corners,”or small stores, each with unique interactive content. Chinese shoppers can enjoy features such as luxury packaging, various FedEx delivery options, no-cost returns, local customer service and an anti-fraud seal to guarantee authenticity.

Launched in 2008, thecorner.com is backed by international Web retailer Yoox Group, the official digital retailer for the Vogue Fashion Fund/CFDA (U.S.), which sells to Europe, Japan and the United States. Yoox plans to ramp up its online foothold in China by releasing marni.cn and bally.cn, with more sites to come.
