Victoria Beckham is ready for the Big Apple
According to Now Magazine and PopStopTV, former Spice girl Victoria Beckham wants to leave Los Angeles and relocate to New York. She informed friends that the move would be more advantageous for her fashion career.
A source told the U.K. magazine that Beckham would like to live in a fashion capital, and LA isn’t cutting it.
“Her friendship group in LA has disbanded and David was traveling a lot more than she’d anticipated and so was she,” she said to the mag. “It just seemed to make sense for her to be based in fashion capital New York.”
The wife of “footballer” David Beckham, the fashion designer received accolades for her presentations in New York Fashion Week. A designer since 2008, she really started receiving attention in 2009 and 2010 for her modern construction and impeccable taste level, quickly dressing A-list crowds. Unlike other celebrities that try the fashion route, such as Jennifer Lopez or Sarah Jessica Parker, few have successfully tackled a runway collection. Her Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 runway shows revealed her signature high-neckline, knee-length fitted dresses, frequently seen on Beckham herself.
