Your Knickers are Going Green!
Bravo to British designer and retailer, Marks & Spencer, for partnering up with MAS manufacturing in Sri Lanka, to create the worlds first 100 percent green, 100 percent carbon neutral, and 100 percent ethical factory.
The M&S Factory in Thurulie, Sri Lanka will produce the first line of organic and ethical lingerie under a canopy of nature’s exotic luxury. The grounds looking more like a five star hotel rather than a place where knickers are produced.
This is definitely something the manufacturing industries should keep up on. I know I’m going to keep an eye on how this works for the land, the people, and the economy. It would be great if this model proves successful and we can transition into healthier and sustainable ways of living—both for people and the land.
