Blogger Spotlight: Casual Friday

Today's blogger(s) of the week are Amanda and Jill from Casual Friday! These two fabulous friends (who live in different cities) are always shopping in eachother's closets. Through their blog, readers gain inspiration from the dynamic duo's love for fashion, mexican food, and travelling!

LadyLUX: What inspired you two start a fashion blog?

Amanda: From the day we met we immediately connected - probably because we were both wearing Litas - and the rest is history. When Jill moved away last summer we decided that we wanted a place where we could keep up with each other. Seeing what each other was wearing became a source of inspiration for us and we didn't want to lose that just because of distance.

LL: Who are your style icons?

Amanda: Erin Wasson probably...I dare you to find me something she can't pull off. 

Jill: I have to agree with Amanda. Erin Wasson consistently blows my mind. I'm also obsessed with the wonderful ways of Alexa Chung.

LL: What is your favorite part about creating content?

Amanda: That I can honestly post anything I want...it's liberating.

Jill: It's a great creative outlet from my everyday routine. Also, I'm definitely not a model, but for a couple hours a week I pretend to be!

LL: Whats your strategy with your blog in general?

Amanda & Jill: Post what we like and hope that we inspire people just like people inspire us...the internet has such a plethora of things to look at so as long as we're being true to ourselves, we're happy.

LL: Share something your readers might not know about you.

Amanda: I'm the biggest animal person! I have 2 cats named Cheeseburger and Mochi and would love to rescue so many more.

Jill: I'm super allergic/terrified of cats. It makes slumber parties at Amanda's literally impossible.
