Imagine being 15-years old and knowing that you wanted to make a huge difference by offering a skin care line that was completely non-toxic.
Well that’s exactly what Ava Anderson did. She just created the first ever skin care line that uses ingredients in all of their products that ‘score ZERO on the Cosmetics Database toxicity scale.’ The ‘Ava Anderson Non-Toxic’ line is not only great for your skin, but it also doesn’t expose you to additional chemicals that could cause more harm than good!
Talk about a ‘Good for the Sake of Good’ philosophy; her motivation to take action is definitely LUX!
“A year ago, I first learned from a news report about the health risks of the chemicals I was putting on my face and body every day,” Ava Anderson said. “I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I was frustrated when I discovered that despite ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ claims, many products sold as healthy alternatives still contained questionable ingredients, especially when you realize how many chemicals can be hidden under the ‘fragrance’ ingredient listing.”
With this quest came a meeting with a New York cosmetics manufacturer who felt inspired to help Ava find a viable skin care solution that was both healthy for the skin and also effective!
The first line of products will include a six-part skin care line that’s focused on a cleansing and moisturizing routine for everyone to use. What we love about this is that it can be applicable across gender and age group. The biggest part is knowing that the ingredients are truly non-toxic to your system and will help your skin in a whole new way.
We also really adore her website design and her approach in educating consumers about the typical products they do purchase. Check it out for yourself at AvaAndersonNonToxic.com.
So LUXies, what do you think about this new beauty care line that’s also non-toxic? Did you know that most of the products you use could be also exposing you to more chemicals than you were ever aware of? How does knowing this information affect your beauty routine?

I was surprised and angry to learn the products we use everyday are not as safe as one would think. Why are some chemicals listed as “limited workplace exposure”, “known links to cancer or neurotoxicity” allowed as ingredients we put on our skin, our largest organ, and allowed to be absorbed into our blood? I now look at products more closely and not only use the Ava Anderson Non-toxic Skin Care, but I became a Founding Consultant to share the message! Because of Ava I am now aware of the dangers of phthalates in products and the effects on men, I just purchased my first phthalate free shower curtain liner! Thanks Ava!

I know that this young girl will make a difference.

Outrage, anger and disbelief were many in the room I was in that heard first hand of the harm we have been doing to ourselves. I have had skin cancer and other issues and I have done research over the years…knowing the harm is linked, but what were the choices until now. Stupendous feat for anyone to come out with a line of all ZERO designated products in one line. Ava is my hero…and the hero of my 6 and 8 year old. Thank you for your visionary moment and bringing it to reality!

It’s wonderful that Ava has taken the initiative to not just provide any cosmetics, but ones that are safe for all!
If you look deeper into this idea of toxins in personal care products, we can’t just shop our way out of this dangerous issue. We need the FDA be there and keep everyone safe and toxin-free when they are using their shampoo, mascara, and other products.
Looking for more info? The Skin Deep database is a great tool for finding safer products. Please see safecosmetics.org to learn more about this issue and to sign up for monthly emails that will keep you informed and let you know how you can help to change this broken system!

Ava’s products are amazing. I have large pores with black heads and it has helped my skin so much since I started using the products. I love that is “0” toxin’s. I found Ava’s products when I was searching for products for my son that is on a Gluten and Casein free diet for his Asperger’s. I was doing research online and just happen to come across the Ava Anderson Non-Toxic products. I feel in love with Ava’s story and how all the products are “0” Toxins. I became a consultant to share this amazing company with everyone I meet.

Thank YOU all for your continued support as well as sharing your personal story with this much deeper issue. Yes ‘Stay Conscious’ it isn’t about shopping our way out of anything. It is about being informed with how our ‘consumer dollar’ is able to help bring about change. When we buy something we are actually giving our passive support for the chemicals to make it, the damage to make it and anything else connected in bringing that product to market. Because many of us are not informed, we often can support products that actually go against our OWN values without us even being aware. We appreciate your concern and look forward to the continued discussion of OWNING what we CAN do to bring about change and to make a difference.
Thank you for the additional resources and being a part of the LUX-o-lution!!

Honeysuckle Flower Extract, when used as a preservative as with these products, is a highly processed and highly concentrated paraben extraction. From a biological standpoint, they are virtually identical to the synthetic parabens we already know are harmful. As of this writing, there is no available evidence to indicate a naturally derived version of a paraben is any less toxic for the body than a synthetic version.
