LUX Decor: Customizable Lamp by MoMA
LUXies, can you imagine a lamp that was designed to be broken before use?
Well, this is exactly the idea behind the ‘Less Lamp.’ Created by Spanish designer Jordi Canudas, and distributed via the MoMA. The intent behind this innovative design is to give the owner complete creative expression.
The lamp’s appearance is quite unique, black in color and completely covered in plaster. This work of art has been specifically crafted to have the sharp edge of a pickaxe smashed into it to crack the lamp’s shell, allowing the user to decide on the appearance and position of the lamp’s holes and the direction of the light’s emission.
Interactive art—sounds interesting, right? If you would like to learn more, visit the MoMa online.
