Inspired by cool, chic Australian fashion, sleek silhouettes and retro pin-up vibes, White Sands Australia set the bar this Miami Swim Fashion Week for effortless glamour. Designer Leah Madden focused the line to not only be cutting edge, but also to be made with excellent quality and flattering fits. This season Madden fused tribal-inspired prints, floral patterns and classic black and whites into one striking collection, reported Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

With tribal inspiration still trending strong, gray and white prints opened the show, exhibited in sexy bikinis with high-waisted or string bottoms and harness-strap-inspired tops. Straps plunged from the shoulder to the underwire to create an edgy feel. Madden used black in trimming, straps and tops for a sharp contrast to the gray. The print also appeared in versatile ruffle dresses, maxis, rompers and skirts.

Pale pink and yellow-green floral patterns came together for some flirty bikinis and cover-ups. This set featured a pin-up-style bikini with a push-up underwire top and super high-waisted bottoms, the material making the retro vibe look fresh again. Madden mixed pale pink bandeaus with ruffled yellow-green shorts for some trendy print mingling, with the prints also standing alone in various versions of dresses and rompers.image

The blacks and whites of the collection focused on clean silhouettes. A white ruched corset-inspired one-piece also flaunted the sexy pin-up girl attitude. Sleek black one-piece suits featured flattering necklines, accentuating the shoulders or chest, and high cuts caused legs to look miles long.

Models were styled with tulle wrapped around their wrists for bracelet cuffs, feather headbands and sashed-up platforms. Their hair was pulled up into high buns, again mimicking the pin-up girls from the ‘40s.
