New Eco-Cars to Hit U.S. in 2010

With the New Year upon us comes new possibilities as well as technological advancements.

The eco-LUX news is that we will have at least 9 new green cars to hit the showroom this year. We have decided to get you a kick-start review of them.

Now some of these have hit the road late this fall, but you can expect most of them to make their official debut later this year.

The highest ticket price for these eco-cars is the LUX version of the electric car, the ‘Tesla Roadster Sport (BEV).’ This eco-sport vehicle retails for about $128,000 and is everything Tesla stands for and much, much more. Though, if you would like a sedan instead of the sport edition you could save around $20k on the sticker price. The value of having designer lines and going green can be an investment!!

Think City (BEV)’ is the most economical of the new green cars to launch. Think is a Norway-based company and will launch their new vehicle starting in mid-2010. Expect pricing to be under $30k and offer you quality and durability.

Another evolving green vehicle that was once only available in California has now extended its brand, Coda Sedan (BEV). The Coda only offers you a package price that includes all of the amenities and doesn’t offer you accessories for an additional fee. Expect this car to arrive in the fall of 2010.

Lastly, expect Chevy as well as Nissan to throw their hats in the ring for upcoming eco-cars. Chevy is brining in the Volt (EREV), which will run on battery and will have a small gas-fueled engine when the battery gets low. Love this technology, right? The retail price for the Volt will be around $40,000. Nissan will launch with the Leaf (BEV) and will be a mid-sized vehicle that will range from $24,000 - $32,000.

So LUXies, if you are considering a new LUX-ride this year we invite you to look to a more environmentally conscious one!!
