Tyra Banks Ending Talk Show after 5th Season
LUXies, Tyra Banks has just announced through her website that she’ll no longer be hosting her own daytime series ‘The Tyra Show.’
“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years. The thing is, The Tyra Show is not leaving because of YOU. Most times, a show leaves the air because not many people are watching. Well, you all ARE watching, in record numbers. You must know this love and support is always felt by me and it’s given me the courage to take more exciting steps in my life. So I thank you for that.” –Tyra Banks, official announcement.
Tyra has a thing for ending things at the height of her career. She just so happened to do the exact same move when she transitioned from her modeling career into daytime television. So if that’s any indication of her future success we can’t wait to see what she will create next!
So it seems that after the finale episode of this 5th season it will be the end to a show that has helped inspire millions of women and girls around the globe. Though, it won’t be the last we see of this fierce, gorgeous face making a difference! Expect her to continue with the hit reality show ‘America’s Next Top Model’ which will soon air for the 15th season.
This comes on the heels of a similar announcement by Oprah Winfrey, who will also be ending her series come 2011. The television world is in a major flux and technology continues to influence the possibilities.
