For all fashionistas that have a love of fine art, jewelry and history, an ideal exhibit has just launched in San Francisco called ‘Cartier and America.’

This new display will document the historic story of the ‘House of Cartier’ and showcase a variety of the different designs of each era. Opened just this past weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to view the amazing craftsmanship of over 200 spectacular pieces connected to the LUX brand up until April 18, 2010.

“This is a great opportunity to see some of the finest pieces of jewelry, clocks, and works of art by the legendary firm of Cartier—made for Americans or made in America. –Declares the exhibition curator Martin Chapman.

Many of the pieces will be focused on the American history of Cartier. Many of the famed pieces stem from the exquisite designs worn by the Hollywood elite and have been donated for the first time to create this wonderful collection depicting the history of the brand.

The ‘Cartier and America’ display will be at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco and is opened Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:15 pm. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and $16 for youths. Not to mention, children under 12 and college students with an I.D. are FREE!
