Fall Style Guide: Boot Up

Yes, there is still a month of glorious summer left. However, fall is right around the corner, and while sandals and espadrilles were the shoe of choice these past couple of months, it’s almost time to retire the summer favorites and opt for pairs that are more appropriate for walks down breezy, orange and red pathways.

Being chic is all about staying one step ahead of the stylish pack, and here at LadyLux, we never like to dilly-dally. This fall’s shoe collection is a stunner at best. From wedges and platforms to buckles and lace ups, the upcoming boot season takes a stab at utilitarian femininity while staying true to timeless beauty. In doing so, they simultaneously incorporate an androgynous edginess inspirational enough to awaken even the most self-conscious female!

1.Channing Wedge Bootie by Michael Kors
This season, summer sneaks its way into fall through wedged booties. By incorporating a wedge into this traditional fall piece, the bootie is elevated into cool heights and maintains a chic style that does everything but compromise comfort. With Michael Kors’ Channing Wedge Bootie, he mixes several fall trends together, only to embrace fall’s androgynous concept.

2. Contrast Velvet/Leather Clogs by Fendi
Ugly Dutch wooden clogs are a thing of the past. This fall, they’ve transformed from chic summer step-ins into edgy booties perfect to dress up even the most basic skinnies! Fendi’s leather clogs revamp this retro style. With a shaped heel, velvet contrast and sexy peep-toe, it’s the details that make this 90’s classic a modern favorite and a refined autumn staple.

3. Button Flannel Bootie by Christian Louboutin
Military Chic is a fall favorite this season. From tied-up booties to gleaming gold buttons, olive and black learn to adopt a feminine aesthetic as Christian Louboutin does a fabulous job in crafting a pair of delicate booties. With military buttons lined along the upper portion of the shoe, a peep toe and the signature red sole, this fall’s platform bootie is a wonderful addition to any girl’s closet.

4. Harness Platform Bootie by Miu Miu
Motorcycle platforms are perfect for dressing up basic fall uniforms. Whether you’re sporting a silk blouse or testing out a pair of slouched pants, a pair of edgy, motorcycle-inspired booties, like Miu Miu’s harness platform bootie, give the perfect balance to pretty-girl get ups.

5. Elena Over-The-Knee Boots by Tory Burch
Despite the implications above-the-knee boots might attract, if worn properly, these make chic choices. However, this season, above-the-knee boots are taken to another level as Tory Burch creates a pair that oozes equestrian class. Adorned with great height, distressed black leather and golden hardware, this boot is everything but suggestive. If anything, it spices up a good girl’s wardrobe.

6. Suede Lace-Up Bootie by Proenza Schouler
Lace-ups are in abundance this season. Adopting a style reminiscent of Little House on the Prairie, the incorporation of colors, chunky heels and squared toes easily modernize this 19th century classic. Proenza Schouler’s suede lace-ups are the perfect example. With the use of a LUX prude suede material in combination with a rubber sole and platform heel, they’re the perfect pair to tuck your pants into this fall!

7. Suede Ankle Boots by Alexandre Birman
Loafers, oxfords and utilitarian detailing—anything that invokes masculinity is totally in this fall due the style’s ability to mix beautifully with feminine pieces. Alexandre Birman’s suede ankle boots masters that mixture perfectly. In this bootie, a loafer is placed on top of a stacked platform to give off a refined silhouette, while the slate color manages to keep things casually chic.
