Holiday Shopping: Target Launches ‘Pop-Up’ Stores in SF, NYC, D.C.

Calling all busy LUX-shoppers!!

Target has decided to offer you some hassle free shopping opportunities by offering ‘To-Go’ shopping events in three different cities: New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

“This holiday, we wanted to give our urban markets a little slice of Target,” said Shawn Gensch, vice president, marketing, Target. “We’re always trying to reach our guests in new and interesting ways, and Target To-Go gives time-starved city dwellers a joyful, convenient and affordable holiday shopping experience.”

These locations will offer you an opportunity to not only purchase gifts on the go, at everyday low prices, but you can also have your purchases gift wrapped without having to make an extra trip!

These limited-time locations will have about 50 different gifts to choose from for all age groups, ranging from the latest and greatest toys, gadgets, home décor, beauty and our favorite, fashion!

All ‘pop-up’ locations will open for only 3-days on December 11-13, from 10 am to 8 pm, in the following locations:

* New York City: Gansevoort and Washington Streets, at the High Line entrance
* San Francisco: Mint Plaza, 5th Street between Market and Mission Streets
* Washington, D.C.: M Street NW and Wisconsin Avenue NW in Georgetown.

Not to mention, there’s a cool ‘Target Gift Hunt’ and shoppers can win up to $500 in Target Gift Cards by returning one of the 500 oversized, easy to identify gift tags that will be placed in each Target To-Go City. When you return one of these found treasures you’ll be given a gift card that will range from $10 to $500 in value and Target will also donate $100 to The Salvation Army. Now that’s what we call a LUX bonus!

If you’d like to learn more about the ‘To-Go’ shopping opportunity, visit Target.com/TOGO. Remember, this will only be available this weekend, so mark your calendars if you’ll be in one of the designated cities!

So LUXies, what do you think of this nifty mobile shopping location idea? Does it make you want to seek out one of those gift tags placed in one of the three cities?
