LUXies, it seems Luna Laboo, an art director, has a passion for reuniting lost luggage with its respected owner!!
So if you have lost your luggage and it was never returned, you might just need to check this new website out called, Isthisyourluggage.com!
Basically how it works is, airport carriers only hold unclaimed luggage for a certain amount of time, where they then auction it off at a charity function!! Luna visits these auctions in order to purchase the bags, photographs the content and then posts it on her website.
Per the website, Luna says: “I collect lost luggage, photograph it, and then try to find the owners. It’s a little odd but not as odd as stamp collecting, just a little harder to find storage space for.”
If anything else, seeing the context of the suitcase is always quite interesting. There is one in there with a full nurse’s outfit and cap, like a costume! It is quite entertaining. Luna doesn’t discuss if there is any cost factor involved with the return of the suitcase and it seems that she is definitely doing a valuable service.
