LUX-LIT:  American Fashion Cookbook, 100 Designers Recipes

For all of you LUXies who would like to serve food in style, we came across this posh new cookbook that might just be perfect for you!

The ‘American Fashion Cookbook’ produced by Assouline in collaboration with the Council of Fashion Designers of America was designed to appeal to your inner ‘chic’ chef!

Imagine a fashion-inspired cookbook that features 100 different recipes from some of the most respected designers! Think fashion meets food, but with an artistic twist. Not only did each of the designers provide their FAV meal details, they also accompanied their dish with a sketch of the meal. So this new hardback is more of a combination between a cookbook and an art book.

“Cooking is hot - the Food Network is all anybody watches,” added Steven Kolb, CFDA executive director to Vogue.co.uk. “What this cookbook does is offer a personal glimpse into a designer and their lives - and people like that.”

A few of the recipes that caught our eye include: Mark Ecko’s “Adults Only” Chocolate Chip Cookies, Isaac Mizrahi’s Mushroom Truffle Spaghetti, and Carolina Herrera’s Pommes Toupinel. What could be more LUX than fashionable food, right? What a perfect gift for a fashionista with a passion for cooking! This is definitely going on my list of must-haves, what about you?
