MFW: Fendi and Costume National S/S 14

Milan Fashion Week is heating up the S/S 14 runways with an abundance of color. Electric coral and highlighter yellow caught the front row’s attention at both Fendi and Costume National. From the first to last looks, each piece oozed in our favorite vibe - luxury.

Fendi’s S/S 14 collection was dripping in vibrant shades of coral, tangerine and cobalt. Dramatic geometric pieces of fabric cut across the body to pair with the bold color palette. Asymmetrical layers of transparent fabrics created an ombre effect on dresses. Fendi’s silhouettes were accentuated at the hips, creating a playful hourglass shape. Crop tops and boxy tops were adorned with fabric embellishments and high necklines. Why not wear luxury in bright shades?

Costume National brought a modern twist to stiff suiting pieces. Lapel notches were extended out in necklines, along with an assortment of skin-baring cutouts. Costume National took a fresh take on blazers. The blazers were sleeveless with low necklines and drop-waists. Both open backs and fluid skirts created a soft, touch of sex appeal in the structured collection. We’ll be bringing in the highlighter yellow, heather grey and black suiting trends into our closets next season.
