W Hotels forays into fashion
W Hotels isn’t only a luxury destination for chic travelers, now they can add fashion to their global brand. The line—W Global Glam—involves pieces from Monique Pean, Sophie Theallet and Lulu Frost.
Amanda Ross, W’s global fashion director, called the move a “fashionable interpretation of W’s growth.” The director handpicks accessories and clothing that she believes not only reflect the brand, but also forecast trends for the coming season.
“When I curated the most recent one - Global Glam winter 2010/resort 2011 - I chose designers that I felt would not only be able to interpret each hotels’ design in an interesting and stylish way, but could also capture the essence of the global destinations we are celebrating this season,” Ross told British Vogue.
The line will be released simultaneously with the opening of the W Retreat and Spa in Bali in March.
