Jason Wu for Lancome Set to Launch at Fashion Week

As one of the year’s hottest designers, Jason Wu is busy with Target collaborations, running his own label and serving as artistic director for Hugo Boss. Add cosmetic designer to the list as his collaboration with Lancome is set to launch in just a few short weeks at New York Fashion Week.

This quickly rising star has gained fame in part by Michelle Obama, one of his biggest clients, while working on a number of other projects, including a candle collection, nail polish collaboration and handbags and shoes under his own label. Long piquing his interest, Wu has wanted to get into the beauty game and now is his time.

“I think makeup is one of the closest parts to fashion – it goes hand in hand in almost every case,” Wu said to WWD. “When you have great hair and makeup, it brings out the clothes even more.

The 15-piece collection, including eye-shadow palettes, mascara, lipsticks and nail polish will be available exclusively at Nordstrom locations and at Bergdorf Goodman in New York come September.

Excited to get his collection behind the counter, Wu stated, “It feels like a very important step for me in the beauty world and it’s going to be an exciting new chapter for my collection and my career.”
