Vanessa Paradis Teams Up With H&M for Eco-Friendly Line
H&M has announced 40-year-old actress and singer, Vanessa Paradis, as the new face of their eco-friendly line, Conscious, manufactured from sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. Showing that fashion can also be environmentally friendly, the line is set to go on sale in stores worldwide and online in late March. The launch will coincide with their global garment collecting project, which enables customers to bring unwanted clothing to select stores in exchange for H&M shopping vouchers.
The French actress, model and singer, who previously starred in Chanel advertisements, poses in bright and upbeat pieces from the new line including a ruffle-edged yellow sundress, embellished utility jacket and floral print trousers. Aimed to show the optimism of spring, romantic and sporty styles are mixed with on-trend pieces and accessories. In addition to the women’s collection, the Swedish retailer will produce similar lines for men and children.
Vanessa’s style beliefs match H&M’s commitment to a more sustainable future in fashion, making her an ideal fit for the campaign. Speaking to WWD, Paradis says, “I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes.”
